Younes al-shibani

Younes al-Shibani ( Arabic: يونس الشيباني ; June 27, 1981 , Misurata , Libya ) - Libyan football player , defender of the Egyptian Ismaili club from the city of the same name . He has been playing for the Libyan national team since 2003.

Career

In the club

Younes al-Shibani began a football career at home. In the 2003/04 season, he played for the Al-Suehli club from Misrata , then spent two seasons at Al-Olympic . In July 2004, the Libyan football player moved to the country's most titled club - the capital 's Al-Ittihad . Here he played 4 full seasons, as well as part of the Libyan championship 2010/11, which was interrupted due to the outbreak of civil war . In all four seasons, his team became the winner of the national championship and the Libyan Super Cup, and also won the Cup of the country several times. In Al-Ittihad, Younes proved to be the main player in the center of defense.

In September 2011, Younes al-Shibani, as a free agent, transferred to the Olympic club from Morocco .

Team

Younes al-Shibani made his debut in the Libyan national team in 2003. In 2006 he was called to the African Cup of Nations , at which he held two meetings: against Egypt (defeat of Libya 0: 3) [2] and Côte d'Ivoire (defeat 1: 2) [3] .

The Libyan defender also took part in the African Cup of Nations 2012 , which fully played all three matches [4] .
