The Archdiocese of Ahwaz ( Latin: Archieparchia Ahvasiensis Chaldaeorum ) is the archdiocese of the Chaldean Catholic Church with a center in the city of Ahwaz , Iran . In 2009, there were only 1 parish and 30 believers.

History

On January 3, 1966, Pope Paul VI, the bull “Ex quo tempore”, established the Archdiocese of Ahwaz for the believers of the Chaldean Catholic Church .

  • Archbishop Thomas Michel Bidawid (6.01.1966 - 08.24.1970), appointed auxiliary bishop of Baghdad ;
  • Archbishop Samuel Hauriz OAOC [1] (01/18/1972 - 05/01/1974), appointed Archbishop of Urmia ;
  • Archbishop Hannah Zora (05/05/1974 - 06/10/2011), appointed personal bishop of Mar Addai in Toronto ;
    • Sede Vacante .
