Botanical Description
The plant lacks roots , stems , leaves, and photosynthetic tissues . They grow on the roots of grapes from the genus tetrastigma ( lat. Tetrastigma ). The flowers are the largest in the genus Rhizanthes ( lat. Rhizanthes ), their diameter reaches 25-43 cm. These are endothermic plants, they not only produce heat themselves, but also have a rare ability to regulate their own temperature.
Range
They live in the rainforests of Borneo .
