Borders
According to the law "On the status and boundaries of municipalities of the Slyudyansky district of the Irkutsk region"
“... In the north, the Bystrinsky municipality borders on the Shelekhovsky and Usolsky districts of the Irkutsk region. The border starts from Mount Kamen Moigot, goes northwest to the intersection with the river. Irkut , turns in a northeast direction 2 km from the river, then again goes in a northwest direction to join the border of the Republic of Buryatia . From the west, the border of the municipality adjoins the eastern border of Buryatia. On its way, the border crosses the Irkut River, the Irkutsk-Mondy highway, 2.8 km from the village of Tibelti towards Mond . Further, not reaching 600 m to the mark of 1789 m, it turns east. On the south it borders with the Slyudyansk municipality. The border runs along the source of the river. Fast along the river. Chernushka to Komarinsky ridge. It borders on the eastern side with Slyudyansky and Kultuksky municipalities. The border runs along the Komarinsky ridge, along the river. Bolshoi Burutui to the border with the Shelekhovsky district, crosses the Irkutsk-Mondy highway on its way at a distance of 11 km from the village of Kultuk towards Mond and the Shimanskaya Griva ridge.
