Biography

The representative of the aristocratic count family of the Tarnovsky coat of arms Leliva . Born in the family of Austro-Hungarian diplomat Adam Tarnovsky (senior).

He began his diplomatic career until the collapse of Austria-Hungary in 1918. Since 1919 - in the service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the independent Polish Republic .

Secretary of the Polish Embassy in Paris (June-October 1923) and in Moscow (February-November 1924).

In 1930-1941 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Bulgaria .

From 1941 to 1944 - Ambassador of Poland to the emigration government of Czechoslovakia .

In 1944-1949, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Polish emigration governments of the Prime Ministers T. Archiszewski (1944-1947), and then T. Komorowski (1947-1949).

The author of the book of memoirs, “Two Polish attempts to bring about a Central-East European. A Lecture given by Adam Tarnowski at Polish Heart ”(1943).
