Fight with Charles Davis
Fight with Curtson Manswell
In January 2011, for the vacant WBC international belt, he met a defeated boxer with a good amateur school, Curtson Manswell. Manswell was a favorite and more famous than Steven, but the Canadian knocked out in the 2nd round of undefeated Curtson Manswell (20-0) and this raised him in the rating of the World Boxing Council. And after that, he went out to the battle for the title of mandatory contender for the WBC champion title [1] .
Challenger battle with Ray Austin
June 25, 2011, Steven met with the famous American boxer, Ray Austin , in the fight for the title of mandatory challenger for the WBC . The fight went smoothly, with the advantage of Austin. By the 10th round, Stevern had won a total of only the 2nd, 7th and 8th rounds. The rest were on the side of the American. Stevern acted less actively, exhausting the opponent. At the beginning of the 10th round, Stepern made a very quick and powerful attack, carried out a deceptive sharp left hook, after which Austin stepped back, Steven quickly stepped forward, held a left hook, from which Ray Austin staggered and bent, and hit the top one with a powerful right hook part of Austin's left temple, sending an American right there on canvas. Austin got to the score 9, but the referee looked into the eyes of the American, stopped the fight. Austin did not agree with the decision.
Steven didn’t get to the title fight, and in April 2012 , he had a rating fight against the jornimen, Willy Hering, who won on points in an 8-round battle [2] [3] .
Challenger battle with Chris Arreola
Initially, the fight was scheduled for November 22, 2012. The tender for the fight was won by Don King with a bid of 1.1 million dollars at the auction of bidding on September 29 [4] . October 18, the date and country of the match became known. The fight was scheduled for December 15, 2012 in Venezuela [5] . In November, the date of the battle changed. The reason for the transfer was that Steven's promoter, Don King , was unable to attract investors to pay fees to both boxers, which should have totaled $ 1.1 million - the famous promoter indicated this amount in his bid at the auction, and the right to organize the battle passed to the promoter, whose application took second place in the auction - Dan Goossen, who offered exactly half the amount - 550 thousand dollars. Chris Arreola will receive 55% of this amount ($ 302,500), and Bermaine Steven will get 45% ($ 247,500) [6] . The status of the match also changed. Now it was listed as the semifinal fight of the WBC tournament. Later, Andre Ward , in the undercard of the battle which was to take place between Steverne and Arreola , was injured. The fighting was postponed to February 23, 2013 [7] . Two weeks before the fight, Arreola was injured, and the fight was again postponed.
On April 27, 2013, the long-awaited duel between Bermain Steven and Chris Arreola took place. The first two rounds passed with a slight American advantage. The same thing happened in the third round, but at the end of the third round, Stevern unexpectedly knocked down Arreola with the right cross. In the next rounds, the Canadian took almost everything, and although Arreola tried to counterattack, Stevern broke through most of the attacks and confidently pressed the favorite. Bermaine Stevern won on points by unanimous decision and won the right to meet with Vitali Klitschko [8] .
Championship fight with Chris Arreola 2
After the decision of Vitali Klitschko to go into politics and leave boxing, the WBC heavyweight world title was vacant. Chris Arreola after the first defeat, Steven entered the rating battle in which he defeated the American Seth Mitchell and climbed to the second line of the WBC rating, which again made him a contender for the champion battle.
On May 10, 2014, Bermaine Steven and Chris Arreola met again in a duel for the vacant world title. In the 6th round after a powerful right side impact, Arreola was knocked down. In the next series of punches, Stevern sent Arreola back to canvas. The referee again provided the American with the opportunity to continue the fight, but Steven again began to crush Arreola, the American's legs bent and from the next fall he was saved by the intervention of the referee who stopped the bout and fixed the victory by TKO. Bermaine Steven became the new WBC World Heavyweight Champion [9] .
Deontay Wilder Fight
On January 17, 2015, at the MGM Grand arena in Las Vegas , Bermane fought with mandatory challenger American Deontay Wilder . The fight began with the exchange of blows in the first rounds, the advantage of which was on the side of Wilder. A taller American controlled his opponent with a long jab while Stepern tried to break into close range. In the second, fifth and seventh rounds, Wilder shook Steven strongly, but the champion remained on his feet. As a result, the fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended in Wilder's victory by unanimous decision of the judges - 118: 109, 119: 108 and 120: 107.
Thus, Wilder became the world champion, for the first time in his professional career, failing to knock out an opponent. Wilder later said that in the first half of the fight he injured his right hand, and the day before the fight, his right eye was injured.

Possible fights
Canceled battle with Alexander Povetkin
On May 15, 2016, the WBC world champion Deontay Wilder received the right to voluntarily defend his title, but injured his right hand and will be inactive until some time in 2017. According to the resolution of the WBC, the first number in the rating, Russian Alexander Povetkin and the second number, Bermain Stevern were to play the title of interim champion [10] . On November 14, it became known that Bermaine Steven’s doping test tested positive for methylhexanamine , but the WBC did not disqualify Steven, but only ordered him to pay a fine of $ 75,000 and assigned him 40 hours of community service aimed at promoting the fight against doping as part of WBC Clean Box program. Early in the morning of December 17, 2016, a notice was received from the WBC office about a positive doping test in the third of four doping tests that Povetkin had before the fight [11] . Taken by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) from Povetkin on December 6, 2016, a doping test showed the presence of a negligible amount of the banned drug ostarin - 10 picograms per milliliter (picogram - one trillionth of a gram) [ 12] . The WBC sanction for the fight in Yekaterinburg was withdrawn, and the Russian boxer was temporarily disqualified [13] until the opening of sample B [14] . The fight could take place without playing the title, but Stevern refused the fight and Joan Duapa left instead .

Possible battle with Louis Ortiz
After the disqualification of Alexander Povetkin, the World Boxing Council obliged to determine in the confrontation between the first and second numbers of the rating Bermain Steven and Louis Ortiz the official challenger for the current world heavyweight champion in this version of Deontay Wilder. But Stevern unexpectedly refused this option, saying: “There will be no battle between me and Ortiz. There is a bigger fish for me. ” http://allfight.ru/novosti/professionalnyj-boks/8507-bermeyn-stivern-ortis-ne-variant-dlya-menya-est-ryba-pokrupnee/
Revenge with Deontay Wilder
The fight began in a rather boring manner, Wilder shot himself with jabs, and Stepern practically did nothing monotonously moving forward. All this continued until the moment when the most powerful two did not fly into the Canadian's head and he collapsed onto the canvas. Stevern managed to get up and continue the fight, but this was only the beginning of the end. After another knockdown, the Bronze Bomber finished off his opponent, doing so in a confident and pathos manner. https://fightnews.info/deontej-uajlder-unichtozhil-bermejna-stiverna/ According to Compubox, Stevern was extremely passive and threw just four shots in almost three minutes of the battle, none of which hit the target. Wilder threw 39 shots, 15 of which reached the goal. http://sport.bigmir.net/boks/1817568-Yailder-ne-propystil-ni-odnogo-ydara-ot-Stiverna
