Description
The emblem of the city is a blue shield with a black outline. At the bottom of the shield is a green glade, on which stands a castle with three towers. The yellow gate of the castle is open. In the upper left corner is a yellow six-pointed star, and in the upper right corner is a white crescent. The first emblem of the city showed a three-tower fortress on a hill. In the period from the XVIII to XIX century. the coat of arms of Zagreb was decorated with roses. Blue color represents freedom, green - rebirth, white - justice. Opened gates mean hospitality. [one]
