Biography
Alexander Topanov was born on September 28, 1903 in the Ust-Firkal aale (now Shirinsky district of Khakassia ).
He graduated from the village school and the Krasnoyarsk Theological Seminary . He entered the University of Irkutsk , but because of the events of the Civil War, he could not finish it.
He worked as a teacher in school and teacher training college. Since 1927 he worked in Moscow in the Council of National Minorities.
From 1931 to 1947 he was an actor and the first artistic director of the Khakass National Theater . In 1948 he moved to the Crimea.
Creativity
Topanov is the author of the plays “The Baboon Riot” ( Hattar Utii ), “With a Letter Without Need” ( Ӱгредігліг чобағ чох ), “From a Gun to a Tractor” ( Myltikhtaң Tractorzar ), “Thistle”, “Class Enemies”. In 1928 he wrote the first poetry collection in the Khakass literature “Book of Songs”, followed by the collection “Red Steppe”. He also owns the first Khakass musical comedy “Fooled Khorkhlo” ( Alaakhtyrthan Khorkhlo ).
Topanov is known as one of the creators of the Khakass writing , the author of the first Khakass primer and translator of Russian poetry into the Khakass language.
Memory
The name of A.M. Topanov is the Khakass National Drama Theater in Abakan .
