History

Lower (also Lower German Colony), until 1917 - Stavropol province, Alexander (Pyatigorsk) county. The German village [5] [6] . Mentioned in the list of populated areas of the Stavropol province for 1909 (together with the colonies of Middle German and Upper German ) [7] .

According to data for 1909, the Lower German Colony belonged to the Yankul volost of the 4th camp of the Alexander district , it had 22 yards and 247 inhabitants (132 men and 115 women) [7] .

In May 1991, on the basis of the 3rd brigade of the Vperyod collective farm (Kiankiz village), the Raduzhny state farm was created as a subsidiary farm of the Ministry of Defense.
