Rasim Nasruddin oglu Musabekov ( azerb. Musabəyov Rasim Nəsrəddin oğlu , January 1, 1951 , Baku ) - Azerbaijani political, state and public figure, since 2010, deputy of the Milli Majlis (Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan).

Biography
Born in a family of educators. In 1973 he graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry . Since 1972 - Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Institute, since 1974 he was in charge of the student department of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Azerbaijan. In 1976-1982 - Instructor, then the responsible organizer of the Central Committee of the Komsomol ( Moscow ). In 1985 he graduated from graduate school, defended his thesis on philosophy. In 1985-1989 headed the scientific laboratory of interethnic relations of the Institute of Youth (Moscow).
Since 1989, he headed the sociological laboratory of the Baku Higher Party School, in 1990-1991. He headed the ideological department of the Baku city committee of the Communist Party.
In 1991-1992. - Advisor on interethnic relations in the apparatus of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in difficult negotiations with the Armenian side on the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. In 1992-1993 - Advisor to the apparatus of the Milli Majlis.
In 1993-1999 - Associate Professor, Baku Institute of Political Science and Social Management .
Since 2000 - an independent political scientist, worked at the Center for Economic and Political Studies. Being a well-known international expert, he carried out scientific management of several large international projects.
In 1990-1995 he was a deputy of the Baku Council. In 2005-2008 - Member of the Press Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Since November 2010 - Member of the 4th convocation of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan (received 33.66% of the vote in the Narimanov-Nizami constituency No. 18 [1] ). Member of the Committee on Foreign Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Relations, Heads the Friendship Group with South Africa. Member of the Parliamentary Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States [2] . In November 2015, he was re-elected to the 5th convocation of the Milli Majlis from the same constituency.
Member of the editorial boards: the analytical journal "STRATEJİ TƏHLİL" published by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the journal "GEO STRATEGIYA" published by the Center for Geopolitical Research "KASPI".
The author of more than 250 scientific publications on the subject of regional geopolitics, ethnic politics, political parties and institutions. He regularly speaks in local and foreign media with publications and comments on relevant socio-political topics.

Married, has a daughter.
