Biography

He was born on August 18, 1926 in the village of Slavyanskaya, now the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Territory, in a peasant family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1951. After graduating from junior high school, he worked as an accountant at a state farm.

In the Red Army since June 1942. It is called up by Kerch GVK of the Crimean region . Member of the Great Patriotic War since June 1942. He fought in a partisan detachment.

The war ended in Berlin . Participated in the historic Victory Parade on June 24, 1945 in Moscow on Red Square. After the war, he continued to serve in the Armed Forces of the USSR. In 1945 he graduated from junior lieutenant courses, and in 1947 - Perm Infantry School. He served in the border troops. Since 1977, Colonel N. S. Ivanov - in stock.

He lived in Kiev (Ukraine). He worked in a veteran organization of border guards of the capital, was a member of the Committee of Veterans of the Border Service of Ukraine. Systematically addressed the personnel of the troops. Having considerable experience of the service, he rendered all possible assistance to the management of the Border Service in developing documents on issues of improving the system of state border protection in the context of reforming the State Border Service of Ukraine.

He participated in the anniversary Victory Parades in Moscow on Red Square in 1985 and 1995.

He died on February 23, 2009. He was buried in Kiev at the Baykovsky cemetery .

Feat

The machine-gun commander of the 696th Rifle Regiment (383rd Rifle Division, 33rd Army, 1st Belorussian Front), Sergeant Nikolai Ivanov distinguished himself on February 2, 1945 when crossing the Oder River in the vicinity of the city of Fürstenberg (Germany).
