Rhenium (VII) oxide forms light yellow diamagnetic crystals of rhombic syngony , space group P 2 1 2 1 2 1 , cell parameters a = 1.2508 nm, b = 1.5196 nm, c = 0.5448 nm.
Soluble in cold water and ethanol , react with hot water.
