Included in the Aleshinsky rural settlement [2] , from the point of view of administrative-territorial division - in Ivanov Bor (Vologda region) village council.
This locality is located at the junction of the Sheksna River and the Toporninsky Canal. Toporninsky channel connects Siverskoe lake with the Volga-Baltic waterway .
The distance to the district center of Kirillov on the highway is 11 km, to the center of the municipality of Shindalovo a straight line is 7 km. The nearest settlements are Aleshino , Ananyino , Sokolye .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 134 people (69 men, 65 women). The predominant nationality is Russians (99%) [3] .
