It is part of the Ferapontovsky rural settlement (from January 1, 2006 to April 13, 2009 it was part of the Sukhoverkhovsky rural settlement) [1] [2] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division - the Sukhoverkhovsky village council.
The distance to the district center of Kirillov by road is 12 km, to the center of the Ferapontovo municipality in a straight line - 9 km. The nearest settlements are Perkhino , Demidovo , Vazerintsy .
According to the 2002 census, the population is 1 person [3] .
The village of Gridino is mentioned in the collection of short stories “Chisty Dor” by Yuri Iosifovich Koval, in the story “Cap with Crucian carp”, most likely referring to the village of Gridinskaya , located a few kilometers from Chisty Dor, in which Koval lived for some time [4] .
