Henry Lerolle ( fr. Henry Lerolle ; October 4, 1848 , Paris - April 22, 1929 , ibid.) - French artist, philanthropist and collector. He studied at the Swiss Academy of Art and with Louis Lamot .

The artist's works were exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1868, 1885 and 1895. In 1889, Lerol painted frescoes "The Coronation of Science" and "Doctrine of Science" for the Paris City Hall of the Hotel de Ville .
For the University of Sorbona, Lerol writes the work “ Flight to Egypt ' ” , and for the church of Saint-Martin-de-Cham, a picture on the plot from the life of St. Martin , the bishop and confessor. The artist also participated in the design of the private Paris Conservatory Schola Cantorum and the Dominican monastery in Dijon .
In 1889, Lerol became the Knight of the Legion of Honor . [one]
The paintings of Henri Lörol are in the collections of the world's leading museums: the Metropolitan Museum of Art , the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), the Orsay Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts .
