- Participation in the interior decoration of the Parisian church of St. Vincent de Paul , the performance of the figures of St. Christopher and St. Pelageya (1855).
- The painting "The origin of the picture" ( L'Invention du dessin , Paris Salon of 1865 , now in the Museum of Engra , Montauban ). Description: in order to preserve the image of his beloved Dibutad, a young Greek woman from Sicyon draws the contours of his shadow falling on a rocky surface. The painting in the catalog "Gioconda"

Criticism
Art historian Jean Sutherland-Boggs characterizes Lamotte as one of the painters of the “pious Christian tradition”, comparing the “correct” from the point of view of bourgeois morality, in some ways even the “sanctimonious” portraits of the artist with the works of Flandren. [four]
