Point Arc Struve, village Rudi, Moldova

In the village of Rud there is a cave with traces of a prehistoric past, a landscape reserve, cape ancient defensive fortifications (IV — III centuries BC), two round earthen fortresses (IX — XII centuries) - “Turkish plate” and “Germanariy” , convent. The monastery of the village of Rud is one of the oldest in Moldova. The village also houses the church of the Holy Trinity, erected in 1777 . It is considered a vivid example of the old style of the architectural style.

Doug Struve , which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, passes through the village of Rud. Previously, in Moldova there were 27 parking points, which were used for measurements to compile international maps. Currently, only one point in the country has remained in the village of Rud. It is located in the apple orchard, 300 meters from the highway Magpie - Otach
