Biography

He entered the civil service during the time of hetman Bogdan Khmelnitsky. In 1663-1667 was the clerk of the General Military Office. In 1669-1672 he was the general clerk in the government of Hetman Demyan Many-Sin . He was the organizer of the conspiracy of the Cossack officers against Demyan Many-Sin, who tried to resist the political and administrative influences of the Moscow government.

On the night of March 13, 1672, a group of elders and their proxies, along with the archers in Baturin, surrounded the residence of Hetman Demyan the Many-Sin and, after a brief fight, seized him. He had fierce resistance, but was wounded from a pistol, shackled and sent to Moscow.

This is what Mokrievich [1] showed during interrogation:

Around the hetman's yard secretly placed the archers on the watchman, then, gathering with a gun, entered the mansion secretly, and he was asleep at that time ... Colonel Dmitrashka first entered his bedroom and in the darkness began to ask where is Demka? He woke up, jumped out of bed and began to defend himself, but then we all entered, took him by force and took him to the courtyard to Grigor Neelov. Here, at Grigori in the hut, Demka rushed to the gun, wanted to fight with us, but I didn’t allow him before the gun, I hurt him in the shoulder with a pistol. From this wound, Demka sat down: here we bound him.

The arrest was led by general convoy Peter Zabiela , and the clerk general Karp Mokrevich delivered it to Moscow.

In 1672, he was a contender for election as a hetman with Ivan Samoilovich, Konstantin Solonina and Rodion Dumitrashka. General Judge Ivan Domontovich , after the coup, demanded to wait until the Tsar's decree to elect the hetman. On this occasion, there was a conflict between Domontovich and Mokrievich, the latter began “the Branitz, that he did not sentence the Hetman to choose before the Decree of the Great Emperor. And the court Іvan Domontov Karpa pryazarev said: you de vain Karp in Hetmans want, full of de and the fact that we and for those their deeds ... - dear і you are not worthy of your deeds in your business. And the scribe de Carp, for those words to Judge Іvanu Domontov, tore out a half beard; and de depressed, I wanted to give a clerk to a lawyer, but Dmitrashko da Cornyonina started clerk and left the case ” [2] 49].

After hetman Ivan Samoilovich came to power, he was removed from government posts.

Getman Mazepa returned Mokrievich to service in the rank of military comrade, then Mokrievich was a Chernigov regimental judge (1688-1690).

Evidence has survived that Archbishop Lazar Baranovich “when he saw Mokrievich’s kolvek in a church or at a meeting, he saw him as a listener to everyone and he himself called him Judah, his father a traitor, and when he gave off to an antidor, he always tried to beat the words : and Christ gave Judah bread, and through bread viida von Satan ” [3] .
