Description of the coat of arms and its symbols

The shape of the coat of arms of the city of Almetyevsk is a rectangle in the form of a volume plate. The lower part of the rectangle is rounded at the corners, and there is a point along the longitudinal axis of symmetry. The aspect ratio of the sides of the rectangle is 2: 3 (a larger value refers to the height).

A narrow rectangle on the sixth part of the coat of arms’s height is marked with a frame at the top and painted red, against which the name of the city “ALMETYEVSK” is written. The letters are yellow-golden, convex.

On the central part of the plane of the coat of arms, painted in blue, which means large reserves of associated natural gas, an oil derrick with relief contours painted in black is shown, which rise from the Devonian oil layer (the lower part of the coat of arms painted in black), which reached drill bit.

On the blue background of the coat of arms in the left corner are the numbers "1953", indicating the date of formation of the city. On November 3, 1953, a Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR on the formation of the city of Almetyevsk was adopted.

A curved, closed line painted yellow-gold runs along the entire perimeter of the coat of arms. "

The composition of the coat of arms symbolizes the connection of the city with the Romashkinskoye oil field .
