Biography

Born on August 28, 1912 in the village of Gavrilovskoye (now the Seletsky rural settlement of the Suzdal district of the Vladimir region ) in a peasant family. Russian. He graduated from grade 4. He worked in Moscow as a carpenter in a furniture workshop at the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy .

In the first days after the outbreak of World War II , he volunteered as a volunteer in the October RVC of Moscow and on June 26, 1941 was drafted into the Red Army .

A participant in the Great Patriotic War from August 20, 1941 fought on the Western Front , participated in battles near Moscow .

On the night of November 16, 1943, in the area of ​​the village of Zagorenka, Chausky district, Mogilev region, engineer-reconnaissance platoon of the engineering reconnaissance platoon of the 665th separate combat engineer battalion of the 385th rifle division, Red Army soldier Vlasov, provided the actions of divisional reconnaissance, made a pass in the enemy’s reinforced wire fence and reconnoitered the presence of landmines before enemy trenches, which ensured the successful actions of scouts. The capture group broke into the enemy’s trenches, a battle ensued, as a result, the documents were seized from the killed German soldier and the enemy’s defense system was reconnoitered.

By order of the 385th Infantry Division No. 062 / N of November 25, 1943, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree .

On the night of November 28, 1943, in the area west of the village of Glushets, Chausky district, Mogilev region (now Novo-Yegorovka), together with sapper Red Army soldier Fyodor Mikheev, acting boldly and decisively, by the established deadline he made a pass in the barriers in front of the enemy’s trench, which contributed to the overall success during a breakthrough of the front line of the enemy’s defense by units of the division.

By Order No. 634 of the 10th Army of December 10, 1943 he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree , becoming one of the first three gentlemen of the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree in the Red Army [2] .

On the evening of December 24, 1943, at the head of a group of sappers, he secretly crossed the Pronya River in the vicinity of the village of Prilepovka (9 km north-east of the town of Chausy , the Mogilev Region ), breaking through the Plastunsky neutral zone, reached the enemy’s wire fence. Systematic machine-gun fire firing at the faces of a wire obstacle, continuous illumination of the terrain in front of the enemy’s front line of defense made the sappers act quickly and energetically. Exactly at the time fixed by the command, passage in the wire fence was provided, but before the next line of enemy trenches a second row of wire obstacles passed, providing passage in it was possible only together with the attacking infantry. At 6 a.m. on December 25, 1943, units of the 385th Infantry Division went on the attack, Private Vlasov went along with the infantry, acting boldly and decisively with an assault rifle and a grenade, the first to break into the first line of enemy trenches and throw the distance to the second line of the obstacle, which, after the approach of the attacking Soviet infantry, provided a passage. Having passed the infantrymen through this passage, Vlasov went on the attack with them. The courage and bravery shown by Vlasov ensured the success of breaking through the front line of the enemy’s defense in the offensive zone of the 385th Infantry Division

December 28, 1943 Vlasov A.G. was presented to the Order of Glory of the 1st degree [3] , but was awarded this order only on March 24, 1945 (the first official cavaliers of the Order of Glory of the 1st degree are Shevchenko K.K. , Pitenin M. T were presented to the orders of Glory of the 1st degree much later in March 1944). Thus, Vlasov A.G. is the full holder of the Order of Glory , who deserved all three degrees of the order in 1943 for the military distinctions made by him within a little more than a month, a month and a half after the establishment of this order. In addition, at the time of his presentation to the Order of Glory of the 1st degree , as noted in his award sheet, he had not yet had time to hand him the Orders of Glory of the 2nd and 3rd degree , with which they had been awarded earlier.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945 “for courage, courage and fearlessness shown in battles with Hitler’s invaders,” Private Andrey Vlasov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

Demobilized in September 1945 with the rank of senior sergeant . He lived in Moscow. He worked as a carpenter .

He died on October 31, 1969. He was buried at the Khimki cemetery in Moscow [4] .
