Professional career
Martin Rogan started his professional career quite late, but he constantly went against experienced rivals, and quickly managed to rise to the top of the ratings. So he fought his fourth battle against the undefeated Darren Morgan Avenue, and defeated him. Following the subsequent knockout winning streak, he defeated two more undefeated boxers, Dave Fergisson, and Dave Dolan. He also made two high-profile victories over Olympic medalist Audley Harrison and former world title contender Matt Skelton . [1] Thus, Rogan, with a record of 12-0, has already become a very famous and dangerous boxer.
After that, he went on the battle against another promising British boxer, Sam Sexton , and unexpectedly lost him by TKO. [2] but according to many, the judge prematurely stopped the bout, and it was decided to hold a rematch. Sexton defeated Rogan again. [3]
After this fight, Rogan spent two low-ranking fights, and took a half-year pause in his career, until he received an offer to fight for the Irish title with young boxer Tyson Fury . Fury knocked out Rogan, stabbing him in the liver in the fifth round [4] .
February 23, 2013 took part in the international Prizefighter tournament. In the first battle, he effectively knocked out a former world title challenger, Albert Sosnovsky . In the second battle, he lost revenge to Audley Harrison .
