Biography
Ivan Pleshivtsev was born on April 2, 1931 in the village of Pleshivtsevo ( Samara district of the Samara region), in each of the 145 yards of which the Pleshivtsev lived [1] . Ivan was not even one year old when his family was dispossessed and sent to Kazakhstan [2] , where Ivan’s childhood passed in the village of Kushmurun [3] . In 1933, in one of the conflicts with the local population, Ivan's father was killed [4] .
From 10 years old he played the balalaika .
In 1942 (during World War II ), in the arms of 11-year-old Ivan, his mother dies and he remains an orphan.
From the age of 13 he worked on a collective farm . With 17 - mastering the game in harmony .
From the age of 16 he worked in the railway transport as a lubricant for axle boxes , an inspector of cars and a locksmith. At the age of 18, he graduated from the train master courses in the city of Akmolinsk ( Astana ) and afterwards worked in this specialty.
In the period 1951-54, he served in the army, after which he worked in the mine and in chores.
Since 1980, he lived in Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk region.
After speaking on the radio in 1988 with the songs “Oh, viburnum”, “White Daisy”, “Don’t Follow Me”, he gained fame as a performer of harmonious songs. In 1989, he performed with his first solo concerts at the Youth Palace in Chelyabinsk. He gave concerts in the South Urals , in the Chelyabinsk region in local cultural centers , on the radio, participated in the TV show "Nobody Loves You Like Me" in the Chelyabinsk State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company " South Ural ". All-Russian popularity of the artist brought participation in 1992 and 1996 in the television show “ Play, beloved accordion! ". Member of many Russian and regional competitions, festivals of harmonists and Russian folk songs. He has toured in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Canada, and Estonia.
Since 1993, he lived in Chelyabinsk [5] .
On July 27, 2010, on Tuesday evening, he was taken with a heart attack to Chelyabinsk Emergency Hospital No. 3 [6] . On the night of July 27-28, Ivan Pleshivtsev passed away. He was buried on July 31 at the Chelyabinsk Transfiguration Cemetery [7] .
