The list of the World Heritage of UNESCO in the Kingdom of New Zealand contains 3 items (for 2012 ), which makes up 0.3% of the total number (1121 for 2019). 2 objects are included according to natural criteria, and one is recognized as a natural phenomenon of exceptional beauty and aesthetic importance ( criterion vii) and 1 - according to mixed criteria, and it also falls under criterion vii. In addition, as of 2012, 8 sites in New Zealand are among the candidates for inclusion in the World Heritage List [1] . New Zealand ratified the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage on November 22, 1984 [2] . The first two properties located in New Zealand were listed in 1990 at the 14th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee .
