Form of recognizance not to leave, used in the USSR in the 1940s
A recognizance not to leave the place and proper behavior is one of the preventive measures provided by the criminal procedure law.
Signature not to leave in Russian law
According to Article 102 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation , a written undertaking not to leave the place of behavior and appropriate conduct “consists of a written obligation of the suspect or accused :
- do not leave permanent or temporary residence without the permission of the inquiry officer , investigator , prosecutor or court ;
- appear at the appointed time at the call of the inquiry officer, investigator, prosecutor and the court;
- otherwise, do not interfere with the criminal proceedings . ”
