Club career

Carlos began his career in Nekakse , where he was a reserve player and mostly came off the bench. Ochoa gained fame by speaking for UNL Tigres , where he returned twice more during his career. After the 2002 World Cup , Ochoa moved to the Pyrenees at Osasuna . In Spain, he did not catch on, appearing on the field only in three games, and soon returned back to Tigres. The return was not very successful: in the seventeen matches of the championship, Ochoa never hit the opponents' goal.

Season 2003/04 Carlos spent in Queretaro , scoring every third match. In the summer of 2004, Ochoa signed a contract with Chiapas . The duet with the top scorer of the Jaguars Salvador Cabañas was one of the most successful in the Mexican Example of that season. After hitting the opponents' goal 21 times over two seasons, Carlos was ranked second in the club's top scorers in the club’s history.

Ocho spent the next two years speaking for Monterrey . In 2009, Carlos moved to Guadalajara on loan with the possibility of subsequent redemption. Despite the fact that Ochoa showed good form in the new club, the contract with him was not renewed.

In Interlig 2009, Ochoa helped Guadalajara win the tournament, scoring 4 goals in three matches. In the final against Monarkas , he scored an own goal, but the team achieved a victory by beating an opponent in a penalty shootout. Together with Edgar Benitez, Carlos became the top scorer of the tournament. His debut in Klausur was in a match against Cruz Azul , in which Carlos distinguished himself twice, the match ended in a draw, 3-3. After such a bright start, Ochoa stopped scoring and was sent to the backup team “Guadalajara”, “Tapatio”. After Paco Ramirez became the new coach of the “goats”, Ochoa was returned to the first team.

The contract with “Guadalajara” was not signed and the next club of the attacker was “ Santos Laguna ”. In 2010 and 2011, Ochoa leased at Haguares Chiapas and Tigres.

In the summer of 2012, Ochoa went on loan to Morelia , and at the end of the season he was again handed over to Santos in Chiapas. In the summer of 2014, Ochoa went to Veracruz [2] .

International Career

In 2002, Javier Aguirre summoned Carlos to Mexico for the Conkacafu Cup . In this tournament, Ochoa scored his only goal for the national team. At the end of the match against Guatemala , with a score of 2-1, he scored a goal and helped his team win. After the Cup, Carlos played for the “ Aztecs ” in friendly and qualifying matches for the 2002 World Cup , but did not make it to the final bid for participation in the world championship. The next time Carlos is called to the national team five years later.

Ochoa holds the last match for the national team against the US team in the qualifying tournament for the 2010 World Cup [3] .
