Geography
It is located 12 km north-east of the regional center - the city of Zakamensk . The ulus is located on the north side of the regional highway P440 Gusinoozersk - Petropavlovka - Zakamensk (279th km), on the left bank of the Dzhida river, half a kilometer north of its channel. To the west of the ulus begins the local highway Dutulur - Sanaga - Dalai .
The distance to the city of Ulan-Ude by road is 400 km.
Title
The name of the ulus Dutulur was formed from the Buryat word dute , which means neighbor [2] .
History
Ulus Dutulur was founded in 1956 . Prior to this, the inhabitants of this ulus lived in separate houses on the left bank of the Dzhida River to the modern road, along the valley of the Tatlinka River. Three Cossack families lived at the place where the airfield was later built [3] .
On the basis of Dutulur in 1956, the house of the merchant Yegor Kochetov was moved from the village of Modonkul. The dutulur school is located in this building. The house itself is interesting in one fact: in it in August 1921, the commander of the Soviet partisan detachment Pyotr Schetinkin interrogated Baron Ungern , who was captured by his own Cossacks and transferred to the Reds [4] .

Airport
On the southern edge of the Dutulur ulus in Soviet times, there was an airport with a dirt runway. Flights Ulan-Ude - Zakamensk were regularly made here.
In the late 1980s , it was decided to reconstruct the airport and build a concrete runway. However, with the collapse of the USSR and the ensuing economic crisis, these plans were not implemented. With the rise in price of air tickets, the flights themselves also stopped. Nowadays, the airport is not operational.
