Biography

He graduated from Kaliningrad State University with a degree in German Language and Literature. Thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philology: “I. G. Haman and the literature of the Enlightenment (the experience of universal hermeneutics) ”(Kaliningrad, 2006).

Vladimir Hamitovich Gilmanov’s scientific interests include:

  1. Culture of Konigsberg-Kaliningrad and the region: Simon Dach , I. G. Gaman , I. Kant , E. T. A. Hoffman , E. Wiechert , I. Bobrovsky, Yu. N. Ivanov and others.
  2. German culture: Goethe , Schiller , literature of the Middle Ages, baroque, romanticism; philosophy and religion.
  3. Russian religious philosophy: V.S. Soloviev , G. G. Shpet , P. A. Florensky and others.
  4. Semiotics culture, etc.

V. Kh. Gilmanov participated in numerous scientific conferences on literary criticism, cultural studies, philosophy, history, and political science in Russia (including Kaliningrad), Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, and Germany.
