Dragontown is Alice Cooper's twenty-second studio and fifteenth solo album, released in 2001 . Like Brutal Planet , it shows a more rigid style compared to many previous ones. The disc took 12th place in the USA in the ranking of independent albums of Billboard magazine, and 197th in the ranking of Billboard 200 . This is the worst record ever (with the exception of Easy Action , Zipper Catches Skin, and DaDa albums that haven’t hit the charts). It is also Cooper's first studio album, from which singles were not released.

About the album
The title track “Dragontown” mentions several characters from Brutal Planet , such as “wicked young man” from “Wicked Young Man”, “family of bones” from “Pick Up the Bones”, and the lyrical hero from “It's the Little Things ”, so many believe the album is a sequel to Brutal Planet . Although Dragontown did not receive such recognition as Brutal Planet , some compositions about hell and those who got there contradict the apocalyptic world of Brutal Planet. The compositions “I Just Wanna Be God” and “The Sentinel” are performed on behalf of Satan, as it was in “Gimme”. The composition “It's Much Too Late” contains direct references to the life of Alice's former drinking companion, John Lennon , and is performed with an artificial Liverpool accent.
Doug Van Pelt , editor of the Christian music magazine HM Magazine , compares Cooper with C. S. Lewis , claiming he “took the microphone from the devil and tries to shake his guts out and reveal his cunning plans.” Van Pelt believes that “It's Much Too Late ”reveals the unlimited truth that“ The road to hell is littered with good guys and good intentions ... ”and compares“ Sex, Death and Money ”with the Solomon Book of Parables , saying that it’s not about“ Sex, Death and money ”, but on the contrary in biblical terms against them.
