Rybnitsa is a relatively large fishing vessel , usually deck-based, found in the Caspian Sea. It has a length of 11 to 20 m and a carrying capacity of 15 to 60 tons. During the Civil War in Russia, ships of this type were used as warships as White Guards - as part of the so-called “Special Purpose Expedition” under the command of Captain 1st Rank Konstantin Karlovich Schubert , and the Red Army - in particular for laying mines [2] and transporting oil products from Baku.
