Located 17 km north-west of Tver , on the left bank of the Tvertsa River. 2 km to the east is the Tverts platform on the section Tver - Likhoslavl of the main route of the Oktyabrskaya railway , 3.5 km to the north - the station Kulitskaya . For Tvertsoy - the village Slobidka and Kobyachevo .

History
In the List of Populated Places of 1859 [1] the stately village Prechisty Bor with the Orthodox Church is listed (12 versts from Tver, 27 yards, 174 inhabitants). In the second half of the XIX - early XX century, the village was the center of the parish of the Pervitinskaya parish of the Tver district . In 1858, the Prechisto-Borsky parish consisted of 402 yards, 3033 inhabitants, in 1886 - 569 yards, 4101 inhabitants. In 1915, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin counted 4635 parishioners from the village, 26 villages and Kulitskaya stations.
In 1929, the village was renamed Krasny Bor, and after the war it was listed as a village.
The history of the village of Pure Bor is closely connected with the name of St.. Thaddeus, Archbishop of Tver and Kashinsky. Vladyka Thaddeus was transferred to Tver in 1928.
