Located 17 km north-east of Tver , on the highway " Alexandrovka - New Orsha ". The village adjoins the village of New Sloboda .
The population according to the 2002 census is 339 people, 160 men, 179 women.
History
The list of inhabited places of 1859 [1] includes the owner's village of Beli Kushalsky with the Orthodox Church (17 miles from Tver, 37 yards, 274 inhabitants). In the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries, the village was the center of the parish and parish of the Tver district of the Tver province . In 1914, the parishioners of the Kazan Church of the Nativity of the Virgin (built in 1842) in the village and in the 21 villages of the parish - 3472 people. The village and surrounding villages were famous for nail craftsmen.
In 1929-1935, the center of the Beli-Kushalsky Village Council as part of the Kalinin District of the Moscow Region . From 1935 to 1956, the Bele-Kushalsky village council belongs to the Kushalinsky district of the Kalinin region . Since 1956, the village is part of the Kalinin district, the central estate of the Romanovsky farm .
In 1997 - 160 households, 450 inhabitants.
The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God with fragments of painting has been preserved.
