Charles Curtis "So" Watkins III ( born Charles Curtis "Tuc" Watkins III ; born September 2, 1966 , Kansas City , Kansas , USA ) is an American actor known for his roles in the series David Wickers “ One Life to Live ” (1994-1996, 2001-2012) and Bob Hunter in the comedy drama Desperate Housewives (2007-2012).

Personal life

Born in the family of a salesman Charles Kurtis Watkins III and a mother photographer [1] in Kansas City , Kansas . His ancestors were from Wales . There is a younger sister, Courtney (born in 1968) [2] . So he studied at Indiana University [2] .

Watkins is an open homosexual . He cumed out in an interview with Mary Osmond in April 2013. Currently, the actor brings up two twin children, the daughter of Katchen and the son of Curtis, born to a surrogate mother [3] [4] [5] [6] .

Career

Watkins began his career with guest appearances in various television series, including The Sisters ( starred in three episodes from 1991 to 1992 ); The Rescuers of Malibu ( Game of Chance, 1992 ) and Melrose Place ( episode of Single White Sister, 1993 ). He played the role of criminal David Vickers in the soap opera “ One Life to Live ” on ABC - starred in the series from 1994 to 1996 [7] [8] , and then joined the ensemble of another daily drama - “ The Main Hospital ”, where he played Dr. Pierce Dorman from 1996 to 1997 [9] . Over the course of two seasons, he starred in the Showtime Channel series “ Asking and Lords ” from 1999 to 2001, playing Malcolm Lafferty.

In 1999, he appeared in the independent romantic comedy “ Yes, Yes ”, playing Sterling Scott, the star of soap operas and Bob's lover performed by Alexis Arquette , and also played a small role in the blockbuster “ The Mummy ”, playing the Burns grave robber. This was followed by guest roles in the television series New York Police ( episode The Irvin Files, 2000 ), Client Is Always Dead ( Out, Out, Brief Candle, 2002 ) and CSI: Crime Scene ( episode “ Cats In The Cradle ... ", 2002 ). After several appearances in 2001 and 2002, the actor returned to the series “One Life to Live,” where he starred from 2003 to 2006 - then he appeared several times in the series in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and from June 2010 re-entered The main cast [8] [10] . Soap Opera Digest magazine named the character of Woctins “The most intriguing hero of 2008”, and the review read the following: “Over and over, David’s ingenious plans and Watkins’s amazing game make us regret that the series has ended” [11] .

On October 21, 2007, Watkins first appeared in the series Desperate Housewives , playing the new Wisteria Lane resident Bob Hunter, who moved into the street with his future husband Lee McDermott. November 4, 2007 appeared in the show " Detective Rush " in the episode " World's End " of the fifth season. In July 2009, the Funny Or Die website released the short film The Sentimentalist with Watkins in the title role, which Entertainment Weekly magazine ranked 5th on the List of Must-Haves among numerous films, series, books, etc. [12] . In the seventh season, Watkins joined the main cast of Desperate Housewives, where he starred before the show ended in 2012 [13] .

Later appeared in episodes of the series " Companions " and " Daddy ."
