History

The GOLAZ-6228 model was first presented to the general public at the Sokolniki Cultural and Exhibition Center as part of the ITF-2006 International Transport Forum ( Moscow , April 11-14, 2006). The model was considered promising, at that time similar buses assembled at other plants ( MAZ-107 and Volzhanin-6270 ) had already worked well on Moscow routes. Like Volzhanin-6270, GolAZ-6228 is made on the Scania chassis and is equipped with an engine of the same manufacturer.

At the end of 2006, the first 4 GolAZ-6228 buses arrived at Mosgortrans State Unitary Enterprise . The first bus entered the line at the end of December and ran along the 608th route. The remaining 3 buses were distributed between Filevsky bus-trolleybus , 10th and 17th fleets and began to be operated in 2007. [2]

From October 2007 to April 2008 a second batch of buses (44 units) was delivered [1] , after which Mosgortrans again switched to the purchase of three-axle MAZs and Volzhaninov. [2] A total of 77 GolAZ-6228 buses were manufactured and sold in 2007-2008. [one]
