Biography
Ahmad Parsa was born in 1907 [1] [4] .
After receiving a doctorate in natural sciences in France , Parsa returned to Iran and decided to put together a work on the Iranian flora and organize a national herbarium [3] . He became the first modern professor of botany in Tehran in 1933 [2] . In 1954, he helped create a natural history museum in Tehran with a herbarium [3] .
Ahmad Parsa died in 1997 [1] .
