Biography
Magomed Abrekov was born in 1952 in Kazakhstan. He served on Sakhalin in the reconnaissance battalion. While studying at the Saratov Law Institute, he was awarded a scholarship. He was engaged in freestyle wrestling and sambo. Thanks to victories and prizes in competitions and sports and athletics Magomed Abrekov was awarded the title of master of sports of the USSR in freestyle wrestling and sambo. Magomed Madzhitovich Abrekov died in Cherkessk in 1997 at the age of 45 years [1] .
Career
In 1979, Abrekov graduated and went to Volgograd according to the state distribution that was in effect at that time. He worked as a judge of the Ilovlinsky District Court of the Volgograd Region, and then as the chairman of this court. Having worked as the chairman of the district court, he went to work in the people's court of the city of Ilovlya , and then in the justice department of the Stavropol Territory. After persistent requests for transfer to Karachay-Cherkessia, he is finally appointed judge of the Karachayevsky City Court. In 1993, M. Abrekov became the first chairman of the Supreme Court of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. For merits in this field, he was awarded the honorary title “ Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation ” [1] .
