Sports career
He played for the track and field club I3 IF from Örebro. He took part for the first time at the Olympic Games in St. Moritz (1948) in winter pentathlon competitions. At the Summer Games in London (1948) he was 24th in speed pistol shooting. Four years later, at the Summer Games in Helsinki (1952) he became the eleventh in the individual standings and the silver medalist in the team.
In 1945 he became a laureate of the Golden Prize of the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. He was associated with his sport until the end of his life, in particular, he was an honored guest of the final of the World Cup in Modern Pentathlon in Uppsala (2005).
