The Central American dwarf squirrel [1] ( lat. Microsciurus alfari ) is a species of rodent of the genus dwarf squirrel ( Microsciurus ). The species epithet is given in honor of the Costa Rican zoologist Anastasio Alfaro (1865-1951) [2] . Found in Colombia , Costa Rica , Nicaragua and Panama . Includes subspecies:
