Biography
Born in the family of singer Boris Sergeyevich Kuznetsov. Mother - Kuznetsova Evdokia (Dina) Davydovna. He spent his childhood in Kinel-Cherkassy ( Kuibyshev region ), during the war years , together with his mother, he knitted mittens for soldiers [3] . He studied at the vocal department of the music school. M. M. Ippolitov-Ivanov . In 1951 he entered two theater universities: Schukin School , but chose the School-Studio named after V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko at the Moscow Art Theater [3] , which he graduated in 1955 (course of A. M. Karev ).
For the first time on the screen, Anatoly Kuznetsov appeared as a third-year student - in the film " Dangerous Trails " he played the young scientist Nikolai Zheludev. Since 1958, he is an actor in the Theater Studio of a film actor [4] .
Anatoly Kuznetsov began to actively act in films in the second half of the 1950s - for several years he played in such films as “A Guest from the Kuban ”, “ Behind a Store Window ”, “ Towards the Black Sea ”, “ A Tale of the Newlyweds ”, etc. .
The role of the Red Army soldier Fyodor Sukhov , who glorified the actor, was played by him in 1969 in Vladimir Motyl ’s film “The White Sun of the Desert ”. It is noteworthy that Kuznetsov did not immediately fall into this role: having already passed all the tests, he fell and broke his leg, after which the role was transferred to Georgy Yumatov . However, he, having drunk, during the filming arranged a fight in which his face was broken; then the director of the film sent a telegram to Kuznetsov asking him to return to the role [5] .
The film won great popularity among the audience, and the Red Army soldier Fyodor Sukhov, performed by Anatoly Kuznetsov, became a cult figure in the Soviet Union [5] [6] .
Later he played a cameo of his legendary character in the comedy " The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin ."
In total, during his career, Kuznetsov has played more than one hundred roles in the cinema, including in such films as “My Friend, Kolka!”, “Liberation”, “Hot Snow”, “In the Zone of Special Attention”, “Return Move”, “Battle for Moscow”, “On the corner, near the Patriarchs”, “Plot”, “Turkish Gambit”, “Mosgaz”.
Participated in the White Parrot program.
Died March 7, 2014 in Moscow [7] . As it became known from the documentary telecast “The Last Day”, the actor committed suicide by taking a lethal dose of medicine in a hospital. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery .
Personal life
Widow - Alexandra A. Lyapidevskaya, daughter of the legendary polar pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union No. 1 A. V. Lyapidevsky . Kuznetsov met her in his student years, being a guest of fellow student Galina Volchek . The marriage was long-lasting, the couple lived together and loved each other very much.
In 1974, their daughter Irina was born [5] [4] .
Anatoly Borisovich was the cousin of the actor Mikhail Artemievich Kuznetsov [4] .
