Petersala-Andreisala ( Latvian: Pētersala-Andrejsala ) is a microdistrict in the Northern District of Riga . Located in the city center, on the right bank of the river. Daugava , north of the Old Town and south of Sarkandaugava .

Current status
A near-port microdistrict built up with pre-war houses, “ Khrushchevs ” and houses of the 103rd series. It houses a freight railway station, the building of which was built at the end of the 19th century. On the territory of the microdistrict, in the building of the former mansion, made in an eclectic manner by the architect Edmund von Trompovsky in 1899, the embassy of the People’s Republic of China is located .

Riga Krasta freight station serving the port is located in the microdistrict. The city development plan takes into account the possibility of rebuilding a freight station for a passenger one. In addition, the same plan provides for the construction of another ( "Northern" ) bridge over the Daugava or a tunnel under its channel.
