The village is located on the Valdai Upland , at an altitude of 121 m [1] above sea level , west of Borovichi .
History
In the list of populated areas of the Novgorod province for 1911, the village of Zhavoronkovo is listed as belonging to the Khoromsky volost of Borovichi district [2] .
According to the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of April 3, 1924, the Horomsky volost was annexed to the Borovichi volost [3] . The population of the village according to the census of 1926 is 96 people. Until July 31, 1927, the village as part of the Borovichi volost of the Borovichi district of the Novgorod province of the RSFSR , and then from August 1, as part of the Zagorsk village council (with a center in the village of Zagorje ) of the newly formed Borovichi district of the Borovichi district of the Leningrad region .
