History
At the end of the 2011 season , the club history of Armenia was replenished with two teams. Two clubs, Alashkert and King Deluxe, were founded. And if Alashkert was revived, then the story with the King Deluxe club began for the first time. The founder was Gagik Hovhannisyan, who once served in Kotayk , who took the post of executive director. Hovhannisyan assured that the club has far-reaching plans, the main of which is to restore the football traditions of the city. Armen Sanamyan , who also played in Kotayk at the time, was appointed head coach. The first game in the club’s history took place on January 18. In the control match against Ulysses in the 45th minute Ara Hovhannisyan scored the only goal [1] .
The club began its participation in the championship of the First League of the 2012/13 season. Several football players from Premier League clubs Migran Manasyan (from Ulysses), Ara Hovhannisyan (from Ararat ) and others joined the club in the winter transfer window . The main backbone of the team was local football players aged 20-23 [2] . On April 15, the club management officially announced that contracts were signed with 20 players [3] .
The championship began briskly, the team openly talked about their claims for first place and promotion. The team for some time was in 1st place and had a small margin. After some slurred matches, the team was overtaken by competitors, the main of which was Alashkert. In the 17th round, an intramural game for leadership in the standings was held, which King Deluxe lost. In the 18th round, the team tied with an outsider of the championship, and a few days later the club management announced the withdrawal from the championship and the dissolution of the club. Some players moved to the reserve teams of the Premier League clubs playing in the First League , as well as in Alashkert.
