Biography

Born into a peasant family.

In 1959 he graduated from an industrial college in the city of Kamenetsk-Podolsky, Khmelnytsky region, in 1962 - Zaporizhzhya Engineering Institute . [one]

In 1950 - mechanic mechanic Kizlyar base of the Grozny region. In 1950 - 1953 served in the ranks of the Soviet Army.

Member of the CPSU since 1957 [1]

  • 1953 - 1965 - at the Zaporizhzhya Transformer Plant : electrician, senior foreman, shop manager, director (since 1962),
  • 1965 - 1974 - Deputy
  • 1974 - 1980 - First Deputy Minister of Electrical Engineering of the USSR. [1]
  • 1980 - 1985 - Minister of Electrical Engineering of the USSR.
  • 1985 - 1989 - Minister of Energy and Electrification of the USSR. Participant in the aftermath of the Chernobyl accident .

Since June 1989, a personal pensioner of national importance.

Member of the CPSU Central Committee (1986-1990), candidate member of the CPSU Central Committee (1981-1986). Member of the Council of Nationalities of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR 10-11 convocations (1979-1989) from the Azerbaijan SSR [2] .

He was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery (plot 3) next to his son Andrei (1957-1997).
