It was founded on October 12, 1940 as part of the Svisloch district of the Bialystok region of the BSSR . Since September 20, 1944 as part of the Grodno region. On July 16, 1954, the territory of the abolished Stotsky Village Council [1] was annexed to the village council.

In 1976, the villages of Grinko 1, Grinko 2, Grinko 3 and Kletsisk farm were transferred to the village council from the Dobrovolsky village council [2] . On August 28, 2015, the Rakavshchyn farm [3] was liquidated.

Population

According to the 2009 census, the population of the village council is 1,419 people [4] .

Of these, 90.8% are Belarusians, 5.1% are Poles, 2.4% are Russians [5] .
