Spangla ( lit. Spengla ) is a river in the southeast of Lithuania , the right tributary of the Merkis River . It flows through Vilnius and Alytus counties. The length is 25.9 km; the pool area is 148.3 km² [1] . The average water flow rate is 0.96 m³ / s. average slope of the river is 102 cm / km [2] .

Current
It originates about 1 km west of the village of Gäčeniškės and the first 200 m flows to the northeast, then about 800 m to the southeast, after which it turns southwest and flows in this direction up to the village of Spianglininkai. After this village, it turns east and flows through the Spyangla lakes. After passing the lakes, it again turns to the south-west, flows near the village of Kalviai, and then, not far from Lake Lielukas, turns first to the south, and then to the southeast. It flows into Merkis 81.8 km from its mouth, 4.5 km south-west of Valkininkai .
