History
Krasnokamsky RMZ was founded on October 1, 1973 on the basis of the order of the Perm trust Meliovodstroy dated September 25, 1973. At the time of its foundation, the future plant was called the Central Repair and Mechanical Workshop (CRMM). The main activity of CRRM was repair of reclamation equipment . In addition, TSRM was engaged in repairing the undercarriage of tractors , overhauling parts and assemblies of T-100 tractors for land improvement organizations, made pipes for drainage and irrigation of various types of soil, carried out maintenance and repair of tractors.
Valentin Tarasov was appointed the first director of the Center for Strategic Rotation Center, then after short periods of work as director he was replaced by Evgeny Gordeyev, Anatoly Shelkovnikov, Efim Girshtel, Yury Savin (he later became director of the Krasnokamsk Machine-Building Plant). In 1986, Viktor Kurenkov, Chief Engineer, was appointed Director of the Center for Development Technologies and worked in this position until 2001.
In 1993, the Center was renamed the Krasnokamsk Mechanical Repair Plant. In the 90s, for the survival of the plant, the management began to develop new areas of activity: the company began repairing buses , producing cinder blocks and metal kiosks. Since 2002, the company produces forage equipment under license from the Italian companies Wolagri spa and Tonutti spa (later they merged into the Tonutti Group).
In 2005, Krasnokamsky RMZ mastered a new line of business - laser cutting of metal (the Laser Technologies brand), and in 2007, the company launched production of logistics equipment - equalization platforms under its own brand STL. Since 2008, the company has been protecting crankcase for cars. In 2011, Krasnokamsky RMZ introduced its own development to the market - the universal front loader FRONTLIFT-800, intended for agriculture and public utilities, and in 2012, the plant began production of cargo trailers.
Privatization and change of ownership
In 1993, the owner of the plant, buying out shares in different shares, became his team. Orders from the mid-90s were not enough, finance was not enough to pay off all debts. In 2000, the external management of the plant was introduced, a manager was appointed, who removed Viktor Kurenkov from the work of the director and began to prepare for the bankruptcy procedure.
The number of working collectives rapidly decreased: in January 1993, 67 people worked at the plant, for 7 years, by 2000, their number decreased to 20.
In 2001, the shares of the plant owners were purchased by a group of experienced managers of industrial production who had previously worked at the enterprises of the Perm Region. The company was reoriented to the manufacture of metal structures in the framework of industrial cooperation and the production of agricultural equipment under the license of the Italian company-manufacturer of agricultural equipment Wolagri spa
In 2003, the Italian company Tonutti spa became one of the owners of the Krasnokamsky RMZ, having bought out first 20 percent of the company's shares, and then a controlling interest of 51%.
In 2003, the company went on self-sufficiency, from 2004 to 2007 there was an annual increase in production volumes. Krasnokamsky RMZ experienced the crisis of 2008β2009, maintaining its position in the market and not carrying out staff reductions, and in 2010 again reached the pre-crisis level. In 2010, a long-term investment program for 2011β2014 was approved.
Owners and management
The owner of a 51% stake in Krasnokamsky RMZ is the Italian company Tonutti Group (it unites agricultural machinery manufacturers Tonutti spa and Wolagri spa). The director of the Krasnokamsk RMZ is Dmitry Teplov (since 2000, with a break in 2009-2010, when he headed the Ministry of Industry, Science and Innovations of the Perm Territory).
