Novikov Vladimir Mikhailovich (pseudonym Kunnyuk Urastyrov ; Yakut. Kannnk Uurastyyrap ; April 26 ( May 9 ), 1907 , Amisl lay , Amginsky ulus , Yakutsk region - April 30, 1990 ) - Yakut poet. People's poet of the Yakut ASSR. Honorary citizen of the city of Yakutsk.

Biography

Vladimir Novikov was born on April 26 ( May 9 ), 1907, into a peasant family in the Amis lodge of the Amginsky ulus of the Yakutsk region . He graduated from the faculty of language and literature of the Yakutsk State Pedagogical Institute (1942). He worked as a journalist in various newspapers, led the almanac Hotugu Sulus.

Member of the Writers' Union of the USSR since 1938.

Creativity

The first works of Novikov were published in 1927. He wrote the collection of poems “Uuktubut kyraiga” ( In the Awakened Territory ), the poem “The Communist Semyon” (about collectivization), the poem “Khotugu kustuk” ( Northern Rainbow , about the Great Patriotic War ). The author pays great attention in his works to his native nature. Novikov poetically reworked the Yakut folk epos " Olonkho " ("Nuogaldyyn kugas attaah Toyon Dyagaryma Bukhatyr", Bogatyr toyon Dzhagaryma on a red horse , 1941). Novikov is also the author of the drama in verses “Үçүgey ҮөdҮөyeen” ( Beauty Yuedüyen ), plays “Eye һin” ( For Peace ), “Alban Kilbien”, the libretto of the opera “Nyurguun wonna Lokout” ( Nyurgusun and Lokout ). The poem of Novikov's "Ymyy Wonna Nalbykah" about the Yakut village of the 1920s and 30s is epic in nature. He also translated a number of works by Russian classics into the Yakut language.

Memory

The name of V. M. Novikov was given to the Amis secondary school of the Amginsky ulus. A house museum is also open there.
