The Ufa planetarium is located in Ufa in the Oktyabrsky district of the city near the entrance to the park. M. Gafuri for Lenin Square . This is the only planetarium in Ufa and in Bashkortostan .

History
The Ufa planetarium was built according to a standard project and was designed for 100 seats. It was opened on July 22, 1964. On the planetarium’s discovery day, it delivered lectures “Mars and its secrets”, “Sun and life on Earth”, “Great geographical discoveries”. He legally belonged to Gafuri Park, but in 1976 he became an independent institution. The Youth and Youth Observatory “Youth” was also attached to it, but in 1988, according to the decision of the City Executive Committee of Ufa, the observatory was demolished.
In 1995, the planetarium underwent a technical reconstruction, as a result of which it received a planetary starry sky projector “Skymaster” (ZKP-3) manufactured by the German company Carl Zeiss Jena , computer-controlled, as well as other auxiliary equipment that allows you to display images planets, pictures of the starry sky, solar and lunar eclipses , northern lights , etc.
50 thousand people visit the planetarium annually; its programs are designed for both children and adults. The planetarium hall seats 85 people. They give lectures, hold thematic evenings on astronomy and astrophysics. The planetarium often holds art, literary and music competitions on the topic of space, and the works of the contestants are exhibited in the lobby of the planetarium. Every year, international days of planetariums and astronomy are held.
On April 12, 2011, near the planetarium, Ufa residents celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight. The celebration was held by planetarium employees with the support of the city administration and the culture department of the Oktyabrsky district of Ufa [1] .
