Biography
Alexander Burnashov was born on December 4 (new style) on December 17 , 1914 in the village of Zyryanovsk (now a city in the East Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan ). He received his primary education , worked in his native collective farm , and later as an electrician at the mine. In 1936 - 1938 he served in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. He took part in the battles near Lake Hassan in July-August 1938. In November 1941, he was re-drafted into the army and sent to the front of the Great Patriotic War. In 1943 he joined the CPSU (b) . By June 1944, Senior Sergeant Alexander Burnashov commanded the guns of the 457th Infantry Regiment of the 129th Infantry Division of the 3rd Army of the 1st Belorussian Front . He distinguished himself during the crossing of the Berezina [1] .
Burnashov’s calculation crossed the Berezina River near the village of Shatkovo in the Bobruisk District of the Mogilev Region of the Belorussian SSR . On June 29, 1944, at the bridgehead on the west bank of the river, he was one of the first to take the blow of German counterattacks. During the reflection of the next of them, the entire calculation of the gun was out of order, and then Burnashov alone continued to fire at the enemy, knocking out 4 assault guns, 7 armored personnel carriers , 5 vehicles. In this battle, Burnashov was seriously wounded [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 25, 1944, for “exemplary performance of command missions on the front against the Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism shown”, Senior Sergeant Alexander Burnashov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and a medal The Golden Star, number 8075 [1] .
After the war, the rank of foreman Burnashov was demobilized, after which he returned to the Kazakh SSR , worked as a foreman at an enrichment plant. After retirement, he lived in the village of Uglovoye, Bakhchisaray district of the Crimean region of the Ukrainian SSR . He died on December 18, 1974, was buried in a mass grave in the Corner [1] .
He was also awarded a number of medals. In honor of Burnashov named the boulevard in Zyryanovsk [1] .
