Exodus is the Jamaican reggae studio album Bob Marley & The Wailers , released in 1977 .

Most of the album was recorded in London. The album took the 15th position in the R&B Albums and the 20th position in the Billboard 200 ^[7] . The singles "Jamming", "Waiting in Vain" and "One Love / People Get Ready" became big international hits. The success of Exodus elevated Marley to the status of a world star.

On March 14, 1996, the RIAA assigned the album gold status ^[8] . In 1999, Time magazine named Exodus the best album of the twentieth century ^[9] . In 2003, the album took 169th position in the list of 500 greatest albums of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine .
