The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Budennovsk, Stavropol Territory, is the parish church of the Budyonnovsky Prosperous District of the St. George and Praskovey Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate .

Historical background
A prayer house in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of the Holy Cross (now Budennovsk) was built at the expense of society in 1895 and consecrated on October 22, 1898 [1] . Until 1900, the church was attached to the Ascension Church in the village of Praskoveya . In the 1930s, it was closed by the Soviet authorities . The only temple of the city of Budyonnovsk, not destroyed by the Bolsheviks . It was reopened in the late 1960s.
Exterior and interior decoration
Wooden temple of light blue on a brown stone foundation. The roof is covered with iron. On the roof there is one drum decorated on the sides with images of saints and topped with a cupola in the shape of a sky-colored bulb decorated with golden stars. Bulb crowns eight-pointed cross.
There is one throne in the temple, consecrated in the name of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. There is an iconostasis and many icons .
